Relining and Heating the School Pool, 2015

Rawhiti PTA donated $25,000 in 2015 to help pay for the relining and heating of the existing concrete school pool.
Now the pool is completely leak-free (an ongoing issue following the Christchurch earthquake) and it is heated to comfortable temperature allowing teh school to add swimming to their regular curriculum for Terms 1 & 4 each year. We are growing competent and confident swimmers for the future. The pool is also used by the local community and in conjunction with Rawhiti Community Sports Incorporated, a local non-profit Trust. |
